Massive Cuddle

Massive Cuddle by !Kazekat is a fat anthro and muscle fetishist commission done for *addylad, and is a definitive example of the combination genre.

I can't say I'm particularly interested or supportive of the genres or the subject material, but I will do my best to give a somewhat unbiased critique.

So I'll get the low points out of the way first.

First off, this piece lacks vision in any which-way you can look at it. It's a commissioned piece, and was performed to the letter, so there was really no room for creativity here beyond the generic poses. Simple as that.

Originality is also a losing point here, seeing as this is a fetishist work and has certianly done before. That said, it's fairly generic and non-groundbreaking.

The impact is... minimal, I should say. Fans of the fat, anthro, and muscle genres are sure to be appreciative (and stimulated) by this image. I however, am here to give an artistic viewpoint on it.

The technique is where the "meat" of the deviation lays. In a professional manner, *kazecat maps out the body posture, joviality, and weighty girth of the image in a cartoony and fun style that is pleasing to the eye. There is a good amount of Disney animation influence in the piece, as well as a bit of Americanized anime artwork style. All in all, it's a combo piece.

This piece gets a 2 1/2 out of 5: hardly groundbreaking, but not immensely offensive or dull.
